WHAT IS SILVEREX IONIC SILVER NITRATE 0.2% GEL
Silverex Ionic Gel is made by famous Sun Pharmaceuticals and supply in a 20g tube. Silverex Ionic Gel contains Silver Nitrate 2% W/W and Ethyl Alcohol IP 4% antiseptic components. Silverex Ionic is generally an antibacterial antiseptic which used in burns, cuts, warts, and wounds.
Silverex Ionic is an antimicrobial substance that is applied to living tissue/skin to reduce the possibility of infection, sepsis, or putrefaction. Antiseptics are generally distinguished from antibiotics by the latter’s ability to be transported through the lymphatic system to destroy bacteria within the body, and from disinfectants, which destroy microorganisms found on non-living objects.

Silver Nitrate 0.2% – silver salts have antiseptic properties. Topical silver therapy can be used on acute thermal burns, other contaminated or infected wounds and chronic ulcers to prevent or treat infections and promote wound healing. Silver, in its ion form Ag+, has a broad-spectrum antimicrobial/antiseptic effect.
