Description

What is Seroflo® Rotacap (Advair Diskus generic)?

Seroflo® Rotacaps are manufactured for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. The rotacaps contain two medications called salmeterol and fluticasone propionate. It is recommended to use the inhalers frequently to have the best benefits. But the seroflo rotacaps is ineffective to use during acute conditions. The acute conditions may be life-threatening, so these inhalers cannot save your life in such cases. So it is important to consult medical advice immediately.

Fluticasone and salmeterol are a combination of two medicines that are used to help control the symptoms of asthma and improve breathing. It is used when a patient’s asthma has not been controlled sufficiently on other asthma medicines, or when a patient’s condition is so severe that more than one medicine is needed every day. This medicine will not relieve an asthma attack that has already started.

This medicine is also used to treat airflow blockage and reduce the worsening of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema.

Inhaled fluticasone belongs to the family of medicines known as corticosteroids or steroids (cortisone-like medicines). It works by preventing certain cells in the lungs and breathing passages from releasing substances that cause asthma symptoms.

Inhaled salmeterol is a long-acting bronchodilator. Bronchodilators are medicines that are breathed in through the mouth to open up the bronchial tubes (air passages) in the lungs. It relieves cough, wheezing, shortness of breath, and troubled breathing by increasing the flow of air through the bronchial tubes.

This medicine must be used with a short-acting medicine (eg, albuterol) for an asthma attack or asthma symptoms that need attention right away.

Asthma is a chronic condition associated with the respiratory system. The respiratory system is responsible for the gas exchange process. When a person develops abnormalities related to the respiratory system, the gas exchange process gets altered, resulting in many difficulties. Asthma is a condition that occurs due to allergies, weather conditions, genetically, or even without any reason. The airways get narrower and reduce the space for the air to get an exchange. So the patients will develop respiratory difficulties. The mucosal layers of the respiratory track start producing mucous, and the mucus clearing process slows down. The imbalance of the two processes results in accumulating mucus. As a result, the lumen get narrowed further. Asthma is presented with cough, wheezing, chest tightening, and shortness of breath. These symptoms can be managed with the inhalation of seroflo rotacaps.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is a condition built with the combination of emphysema and chronic bronchitis. Seroflow rotacaps are capable of reducing emphysema resulting in alleviation of shortness of breath. There will be more chance for the mucus to accumulate during this condition. The above symptoms can be relieved with the use of the seroflo rotacaps.
Salmetarol is a beta 2 receptor agonist. Beta 2 receptors are located within the bronchioles. The medication can travel inside the respiratory tract and bind with the beta two receptors. So they can activate the beta two receptors. The activation of beta two receptors helps maintain normal functions of the airways. The airways get relaxed and open. Salmeterol has bronchodilation ability which is used in opening the airways.

Fluticasone is a corticosteroid that is mainly used in suppressing inflammation. The airways get inflamed during asthma and COPD, resulting in the lumen of the airways narrowing more. So the inhalation of fluticasone can relax the airways by reducing inflammation. The production of prostaglandin is controlled by fluticasone. The chemical mediators responsible for building inflammation are regulated by inhaling seroflo rotacaps.
