What is Azelaic Acid 20% / 15% / 10% cream/gel

The alternative, more natural choice of chemical Hydroquinone, makes the skin fair, more radiant, and glowing with an even skin tone. Azelaic acid is also used for other skin conditions, such as hyperpigmentation, rosacea, and skin lightening. Azelaic acid is a naturally occurring acid found in grains such as barley, wheat, and rye. It has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, which make it effective in the treatment of skin conditions like acne and rosacea.

The acid can prevent future outbreaks and clean bacteria from your pores that cause acne. Azelex, Skinoren, and Finacea are the brand names for topical preparations. They contain 15 percent or more of azelaic acid. Some over-the-counter products contain smaller amounts. Because it takes some time to take effect, azelaic acid by itself isn’t typically a dermatologist’s first choice for treating acne. The acid also has some side effects, such as skin burning, dryness, and peeling.

Azelaic acid cream/gel branded as Aziderm® is produced by reputable Micro Labs. 10 to 20 percent azelaic acid is used to treat mild to moderate rosacea (a skin condition marked by red eruptions, usually on the cheeks and nose.) Rosacea is a chronic dermatosis characterized by facial flushing, erythema, telangiectasia, inflammatory episodes with papules and pustules, and, in severe cases, rhinophyma. Azelaic acid may also be used for purposes not listed in the product’s guide/description, such as skin lightening purposes.

Azelaic acid cream for rosacea working successfully as well as a skin bleaching agent for the treatment of melasma, freckles, and other types of hyperpigmentation. Azelaic acid originated from grains like wheat, rye, and barley. For something that’s made out of yeast, it’s surprisingly effective. Azelaic acid 20% strength firstly used as a topical antibacterial acne-fighting solution. Azelaic acid belongs to a class of strong cosmeceuticals called dicarboxylic acids and treats bacterial-related acne by killing the bacteria in pores while simultaneously reducing inflammation and decreasing the production of keratin, which is a natural substance that promotes the growth of acne bacteria.

Highly concentrated azelaic acid widely used as a natural skin lightening ingredient, it even stronger than hydroquinone 2%. As Azelaic Acid started catching on as an acne treatment, dermatologists began to notice it came with valuable side effects – changes in skin pigmentation or simply said – skin lightening properties of azelaic acid is very potent and noticeable if used prolonged (for 2-3 months in a row) topically, also cosmetologists considered medicated azelaic acid products as one of a main daily skincare routine products to prevent the formation of acne.

Some extra benefit of the azelaic acid cream main component – it is great for acne-prone skin so those suffering from constant breakouts or mild to moderate acne can get relief from active acne as well as faster fading for acne spots. Oily skinned beauties can rejoice as well – this all-natural skin lightening comes with mattifying benefits.

Azelaic acid is a more natural alternative to hydroquinone for fair, radiant, and glowing skin. Azelaic acid has natural anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it an ideal choice for skin conditions like acne and rosacea. This highly effective professional-grade chemical formula is a multi-action powerhouse, featuring Azelaic Acid.

The formulation is known to reduce the look of blemishes and acne, while also helping to fade brown spots and marks from previous acne breakouts. Aziderm is produced by reputable Micro Labs. What is Azelaic Acid 15% Cream Azespot®

Azespot cream is manufactured by E-Derma and contains Azelaic acid 15%. Azelaic acid works by clearing your pores of bacteria that may be causing irritation or breakouts, reducing inflammation so acne becomes less visible, less red, and less irritated, gently encouraging cell turnover so your skin heals more quickly and scarring is minimized.

After a breakout, inflammation can result in hyperpigmentation in some areas of your skin. Azelaic acid stops discolored skin cells from populating. A pilot study from 2011 showed azelaic acid can treat acne while evening out hyperpigmentation triggered by acne. Further research on the skin of color has also shown that azelaic acid is safe and beneficial for this use. The same property that makes azelaic acid effective for the treatment of inflammatory hyperpigmentation also enables it to lighten skin that’s discolored by melanin. Using azelaic acid for skin lightening in patchy or blotchy areas of your skin due to melanin has been found effective, according to an older study.

Azelaic acid can reduce inflammation, making it an effective treatment for symptoms of rosacea. Clinical studies demonstrate that azelaic acid gel can continually improve the appearance of swelling and visible blood vessels caused by rosacea.

Some people use azelaic to treat acne scarring in addition to active outbreaks. Azelaic acid encourages cell turnover, which is a way to reduce how severe scarring appears. It also prevents what’s known as melanin synthesis, the ability of your skin to produce pigments that can vary your skin’s tone. If you’ve tried other topical medications to help with scarring or blemishes that are slow to heal, azelaic acid might help. More research is needed to understand who this treatment works best for and how effective it can be

Azelaic Acid 20 cream – strong natural skin lightener

Aziderm® 20% azelaic acid cream/gel lotion works as an all-natural unpredictably powerful skin lightening agent while successfully assisting acne and rosacea sufferers as well. This particular ingredient is typically well-tolerated and can be used for extended periods of time safely, making it a wonderful product to incorporate into your skincare regimen. Azelaic acid skin lightening power comparable to hydroquinone 2% ingredient, even stronger. Recommended alternating periodically both these great ingredients while lightening your skin during treatment stable stubborn hyperpigmentation issues like melasma or dark skin patches.

20 percent azelaic acid’s cream/gel skin lightening effect isn’t just a little side effect – it’s a huge part of what this natural bleaching component does. When cream applied topically, azelaic acid 10% – 20% ingredient lightens your overall skin tone by reducing melanin production actioning from within, which it does by inhibiting the enzyme tyrosinase – an enzyme that stimulates melanin production in the epidermis, the same way as its chemical hydroquinone component does.

Azelaic acid 20% cream/gel Aziderm® works to combat hyper-pigmentation by suppressing the growth of abnormal melanocytes (simply, melanin-producing cells) that lead to cases like melasma, lentigo maligna, and other hyperpigmentation problems. It does so by inhibiting the DNA synthesis of abnormal pigment-producing pigment cells and killing them gradually. Azelaic acid cream/gel is selective when it comes to targeting pigment-producing cells –  it’s been shown to have very little effect on normally pigmented skin like freckles, but is much more active against hyper-pigmentation caused by abnormal melanin synthesis, which makes it an ideal choice when you’re looking to get rid of hyperpigmentation disorders naturally.

Azelaico acido cream/gel is surprisingly effective for skin lightening purposes as a natural ingredient found in yeast. A medical study showed that a 20% azelaic acid was effective for lightening the skin of 75% of the participants in just 10 weeks. Another 10-week study in South America found that a 20% concentration of azelaic acid was equivalent to 2% hydroquinone in the treatment of melasma, whereas another study conducted in the Philippines found that 20% azelaic acid was superior to 2% hydroquinone, so now you can imagine how strong that natural ingredient is.

How does Azelaic Acid 20% Aziderm® cream work

Aziderm 10 to 20 percent azelaic acid cream/gel is a topical antibacterial lotion that helps the skin naturally renew itself a lot more quickly and efficiently, thus reducing the formation of pimples and blackheads. Given its antibacterial nature, it also kills bacteria that cause acne in many patients.  Calms down, treat, and lightens rosacea redness. Azelaic acid cream for rosacea may also be used in cases of hair loss of both men and women. Aziderm azelaic acid gel/cream widely used as a skin lightening solution as well as a chemical peel exfoliator.

The azelaic acid component in Aziderm cream/gel has a special formulation system called Micronize®, it means that micronized azelaic acid active ingredients will be delivered into your skin maximally deep and in maximally allowed by your skin quantities. Then 10% to 20% active azelaic acid substance penetrates the skin, each smallest pore, making it sterile and inhibits the growth of bacteria directly responsible for documented skin inflammation and irritation. Aziderm azelaic acid otc cream/gel is also a great help in preventing the bacteria-induced production of acne-promoting fatty acids. These two facts alone make this product the ultimate blackhead and pimple – destroyer. Ten or twenty percent azelaic acid cream hinders the formation of new skin cells in the so-called comedones, thus preventing the further spread of acne.

Downsides of 20 Azelaic acid cream

  • You have always to consult with your dermatologist prior to starting using 20 azelaic acid cream/gel;
  • Azelaic acid isn’t very effective against normal pigmentation, freckles, and age spots. Hydroquinone proves more effective for that;
  • Azelaic acid alone, even strong 20 percent concentration cream, only goes so far – you can expect to get two to three shades lighter skin tone;
  • To get the most skin whitening/lightening benefits with azelaic acid (effects that are comparable to 2-percent hydroquinone) it should be used prolonged for 3-5 months.

How to use Azelaic Acid 20

  • Use Aziderm azelaic acid exactly as prescribed by your doctor;
  • Do not use in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended. Follow the directions on your prescription label;
  • Apply the cream or gel twice a day, in the morning, and in the evening to get the best results;
  • Wash the skin with a mild soap or soap-free cleanser, rinse the surface with water;
  • Apply a tiny amount to the tip of your clean fingers, and gently rub it into the skin;
  • Do not cover the lotioned skin;
  • Use medical-grade sunscreens with SPF 15 or higher.

    I have suffered from acne all my life and I am now 52 (female). The only pill that helped was Dianette but sadly they took me off it when I was forty due to the increase in risks of blood clots. My acne returned and I have been trying everything available as usual on the market, I even did a dairy free diet as there are links to dairy and acne, but nothing worked. I recently had a real bad outbreak of cystic acne and after looking to the internet saw the reviews for this Azelaic acid 10% cream. I half heartedly bought it thinking it wouldn’t work but had to put my review on, I have only been using for two weeks (I have very sensitive skin) and the results are amazing, all my cystic acne, blackheads have gone and my red scars are gradually diminishing and this cream hasn’t irritated my skin! I am amazed and hope these results continue, I am soooo happy.

    I have tried everything for my acne, including two rounds of roaccutane. I’ve tried supplements, antibiotics, contraceptive pills… you get the picture. Since my acne was now moderate rather than severe, my GP prescribed Skinoren or Azelaic acid 20%. I bought Aziderm gel from Okdermo pharmacy. Within days my acne was nearly clear. I couldn’t believe it! And almost as good, the scars are far less red and I feel more confident without makeup than ever before. The only downside is that when I came off it the acne came back after a couple of months and some of the redness in the scars came back too. However I was only on for 3 or 4 months so will try it for longer this time to see if it clears for good. If not I will just stay on it and apparently it’s fine for long term use. Try it!

    Please NEVER stop carrying this product! Not only does it work very well for my very mild Rosacea, but I get my order no more than 10 days In UK after I order! I am sooo happy with okdermo skincare!!

    After paying an absurd amount for another product to treat my moderate rosacea, my dermatologist prescribed this when the other product didn’t work. Okdermo had this a good deal cheaper than my local pharmacy, I’ll be buying more as this really seems to be helping!

    I have only used the product for one day, and so far it hasn’t irritated my skin and imrpoved my skin. I have very sensitive skin that breaks out in tiny bumps. I looks like tiny whiteheads/ clogged pores in my cheeks. I used the product last night and there is a reduction of those bumps whe I woke up. I will continue to use the product every other night, and mix it with coconut oil if my skin becomes flakey. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this does the trick.

    I believe that I have adult acne(I’m 26 and it started a few years ago) caused by very minor rosacea; if you have acne vulgaris and not acne rosacea, this treatment might not work for you. Though I’d say it’s still worth a try if nothing else works for you. So far, I have had consistent success with Aziderm (which I bought online via okdermo). The instructions are correct when they say that you have to wait between 4-8 weeks for results; for the first month, I suspected that it wasn’t working because I was still popping pimples on my forehead like mad. But now it’s been almost another month since then and so far I have almost no acne. I no longer have cystic acne and just a few really tiny, almost unnoticeable, whiteheads here and there. I’m very impressed! My skin is usually very sensitive(both salicyclic acid and benzoyl peroxide gave me worse acne along with rashes), yet Aziderm has given me no adverse reactions what so ever. I will say that even though it takes a while for the true results to show up, I did notice within the first week of using it that the texture and feel of my skin improved dramatically. My upper forehead felt much less flaky and got more soft and smooth. I am only disappointed that it hasn’t reduced the blackheads or cloggy pores much and my skin still gets more oily than it should. But those things can be remedied in other ways by applying salicyic acid ointment for example, and it’s no big deal if the rest of my acne is cleared! Great product. Now I can finally get back to dating with confidence!

    I had severe acne for months and I thought it would never go away, I had used every product available and cleaned up my diet etc but nothing worked. Aziderm was the only thing that worked, the first few weeks I had even more severe breakouts but if you can endure this then it is worth it. It took two months for effects to show but if you stick to it it’s going to pay off. I now have near flawless skin and have done for the past 6 months or so.

    I’ve been applying aziderm for 4 weeks now, once every night. My face to begin with was clear everywhere except for my forehead which is oily and i would breakout once a month, a few whiteheads here and there, with a few closed comedones. Since I’ve been using aziderm I’ve been breaking out non stop. I’m hoping that my skin is simply purging. I will give this another few weeks. Hopefully It won’t cause damage to my skin.

    The tube is difficult to open in order to use it. I would have preferred a tube with the small point in the cap for puncturing it open. The gel takes longer to disappear into your skin than the Finacea but eventually it does. Does not feel oily. I am satisfied so far.

    All I can say is that this product is amazing. I noticed the marks and active acne calmed down and noticeably faded after the FIRST time I used it. I applied it to the areas affected before I went to sleep and when I woke up, it was like 3 weeks had gone by. The marks were significantly faded and the sore spots had all calmed down. I have only been using this cream for 4 days but the results are better than other creams I have used for weeks. As with all acne creams, you must apply sparingly and I find that gently massaging the cream into each separate blemish reduces the redness of skin that isn’t affected by acne. I have not found it to be drying and as my skin is so oily, the chances of any dryness are pretty slim. I am therefore lucky enough to be able to apply Aziderm in the morning AND evening which maximises results. I didn’t want to leave the house 5 days ago and now, I am free to do so with my head held up high because of Aziderm!

    This is the 4th week I’ve been on the cream. At first I didn’t see a lot of improvement but now it is beginning to show slowly. It leaves skin feeling really soft and with no irritation for me anyway. Inflamed pimples under the skin are well down after 2 applications. It has slightly faded some hyperpigmentation..however it is said around 4 months are needed to benefit from it. Here’s to hoping! 4 stars as I’m awaiting more results as it states.

    Hello, I’m 18 and I’ve had acne ever since I was 12. It had its ups and downs…mostly downs…and no matter to what dermatologist I went to, they just made it worse with all the products they would prescribe for me. Finally, about a month and a half ago I went to another dermatologist and she prescribed topical azelaic acid for me, salicylic acid lotion and a mattifying hydration cream. Honestly, its the first time in years my skin is clear, I get 2 or 3 pimples before my period but thats about it. My whole face was covered with whiteheads, blackheads, small cysts and they wouldn’t go away, this is the only thing that helped me. I apply Aziderm once every night and if I stay indoors for the day I’ll apply it in the morning too. Definitely apply it at night, because your pores open, meaning that Aziderm is given the opportunity to enter and hit the problem to its core(in a way) and giving you better results. I definitely do recommend this product, however, you should keep in mind that acne takes time to cure so be patient. Hope this helps 🙂

    I began laser treatment for acne after having a very bad breakout after going to Italy. I tried everything! Creams, natural measures, diet (lost about 1stone in – month) cutting out everything including diary and bread. My journey was immense and my mental health at an all time low! Finally went to see the derm who prescribed azelaic acid 20% (Skinoren, or Aziderm). Within 2 weeks I saw massive changes in my skin. Much clearer and brighter. I have got a spots still appearing but I started it in November and my skin is the most clear it has been in over 6months! So happy!
