Retino AC Gel is made by Johnson&Johnson company and contains two powerful ingredients – anti-inflammatory Clindamycin Phosphate 0.1% and retinoid Tretinoin 0.025%. This ingredient combination prescribed for the treatment of severe nodular acne, pimples in adults and children who are at least 12 years or above in age. This solution is also used for anti-aging purposes as an anti-wrinkle remedy. Clindamycin is an antibiotic which fights bacteria in the body whereas Tretinoin is a form of vitamin A retinoid component which reduces the amount of oil produced by the oil glands in the skin and helping it renew itself quickly.

HOW TO USE RETINO AC TRETINOIN & CLINDAMYCIN PHOSPHATE GEL
Do not use this cream in cases you are allergic to any of the ingredients present in this cream, are pregnant or breastfeeding. Tell your dermatologist if you have other health conditions. Retino AC comes in topical liquid gel form. Apply a small amount of the topical product as per the dermatologist’s advice. While using Clindamycin and Tretinoin, avoid unnecessary exposure to sunlight or artificial UV rays (sunlamps or tanning beds). If you do require to go out and get exposed to sunlight, protect your skin by wearing proper protective clothing and putting on a good sunscreen. Use SPF. Your skin may also become sensitive to weather conditions such as cold, wind, or dryness. You must protect your skin with proper clothing and products like moisturizing cream or lotion as needed. Apply cream as follows:
- Wash your hands and the skin area affected using a mild soap and water
- Pat dry your skin with a cotton cloth
- Wait for 15-30 minutes before applying for this medicine
- Use clean fingertips, a cotton swab to apply the medication( a pea-sized)
- Apply only enough amount of medicine to cover the area lightly
- Apply it religiously before bedtime, so as the acne scars heal faster. Proper care of the infected area is necessary.
