What is Boby & Scalp Lotion/Ointment Ultitar CS®
Ultitar CS® Lotion and Ointment are used for the treatment of psoriasis. Ultitar CS Lotion/ointment is a steroid-containing solution that works to block the production of prostaglandins which cause inflammation of the skin. Ultitar CS also works to break down keratin clumps and softens skin.
Ultitar CS has a combination of medicines that are used to treat psoriasis. It helps to provide relief from redness, itching, and swelling. It removes dead skin cells and helps in softening the skin. Ultitar CS Lotion should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Wash your hands before using this medicine. It is advised to check the label for directions before use. It is for external use only. Do not use this medicine more than the recommended dose. Inform your doctor if you have known allergies from this medicine. The common side effects of this medicine include dry skin, thinning of skin, burning, itching, irritation, and redness at the application site. If these side effects or any other symptoms which you think are because of this medicine persist for a longer duration, please consult your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or are suffering from any other disease. This medicine is safe to use in breastfeeding mothers.
Salicylic Acid 3% is used in the treatment of dermatitis, psoriasis, and keratoses (abnormal skin growth). Salicylic acid is known as a keratolytic which is a peeling agent. Salicylic acid allows the shedding of the outer layer of skin by loosening and softening the dry, scaly skin. Salicylic Acid also works on reducing swelling and redness and thus causing pimples to shrink.
Coal Tar 5% is used for the treatment of psoriasis, including dryness, redness, flaking, scaling, and itching. Coal tar helps provide relief from the symptoms of skin conditions, it is not a cure.
Clobetasol Propionate Topical 0.05% is used in the treatment of inflammation and itching caused by skin conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema, and psoriasis. Clobetasol is known as a highly potent steroid. Clobetasol Topical reduces the actions of chemicals in the body that are the cause of inflammation and its side effects. Some of the potential side effects of Clobetasol Topical can include the symptoms of skin rash, burning, itching and irritation.
