10 Tips For Achieving Naturally Beautiful Skin

If you’re one of those people who always get a zit right before an important event, I’m here to tell you that you’re not alone. Sister, we’ve all been there. From looking up remedies online to buying all sorts face cleaning products, we promise ourselves a better tomorrow.

That rarely happens, right? Thought some good face washes or face cleaning products sometimes work for you but it’s not always the same, and they mostly hide the underlying cause of the problem.

A healthy diet reflects how healthy your skin can be. So, in order for you to have naturally beautiful skin, eat healthily!

That being said, you might be wondering: What could these tips be?

Fret no more, here are 10 easy tips you can follow to get that radiant and glowing skin.

Eat Healthy, To Look Healthy

As previously mentioned before, a healthy diet is not only limited to your body, it’s also very important for your skin. A change in diet can make an amazing difference to your skin.

If you skip out on junk food and add more vegetables, protein, and fruit, you’ll see the wonders yourself. With time you’ll see your skin is looking and feeling much better than before.

I’m a crazy junk food lover, and it has been hard for me to cut out my favorite guilty pleasures. But in the end, I saw the results and now I’m more than convinced that a healthier diet is key to everything.

So, eat fresh fruits, green vegetables, and moderate proteins and take a note of your vitamin intake. Take the first step and you’ll see the change yourself.

Protection from the Sun

Sunscreens are lifesavers. Trust me, I know. Protecting your skin from the harmful rays of the sun will not only help your skin but will also help you in the long run.

No matter what the weather is, put on your sunscreen lotion. An SPF of 15 that gives you protection from both UVB and UVA rays should be perfectly fine.

Not only are you protecting your skin, but you’re also making it look younger. As longer periods of sun exposure can give you wrinkles. Not to mention, it can cause a number of skin problems.

For sensitive skin types, look for sunscreens that have ‘Non-acnegenic’ label on them. They help prevent breakouts and won’t block your pores.

Remember, no matter what the weather may be, always put on your sunscreen. Your skin will thank you later.

Fats, But Healthy Fats

Remember what I said about avoiding junk food? That still counts! The fats I mentioned were the good fats. Not the saturated one.

There are some fats that keep you healthy. Our skin needs these fats to absorb the vitamins and minerals that we’ve been taking in. Eat food that has Omega-3 fatty acid in them.

For instance, nuts, fish oil, green vegetables, and fresh fruits have high levels of omega-3 fatty acids in them. This decreases your chances of heart disease and gives your skin the boost it needs.

Avocados, dark chocolate, and whole eggs are also some good examples of healthy fats you can have for a better and clear skin.

Work out!

Yes. This counts too. I was shocked as well. Finding out that working out can somehow help my skin and complexion was news to me.

Howdo you ask? Well, working out regularly helps to regulate blood flow all over our body. The sweating cleanses and drains out toxins from the body. Toxins make your skin look dull and old.

Working out, doing yoga or just simply going for a run can speed up the cleansing process that your body and skin needs. You see that glow on your face right after a workout? That’s your proof right there.

And before you get into your workout routine, take the necessary precautions for your skin. Use a toner on your face to reduce the oiliness your face will create.

Exfoliate after the workout. Moisturize the skin with some Shea Butter or olive oil!

Follow the Golden Rule

This is the one and only most crucial and essential tip you need to follow diligently. This can never be broken, no matter how tired you are or how sick you are. Never.

Ladies, you already know what this rule is. I’m talking about removing your makeup before going to sleep.

Give your skin a chance to breathe from all those harsh chemicals. Especially at night. Going to sleep with your makeup on can block your pores. You’re basically creating a platform for bacteria to breed.

Not to mention, the increase of blackheads and pimples. If you don’t have a makeup remover, you can either buy one or make one at home. It’s that easy.

Take a cotton pad, dab some olive oil or coconut oil, and you’re good to go. Clean out every trace of your makeup by gently massaging your face.

The path to a flawless and beautiful skin is all about following this rule.

Cleanse, Honey

Believe me, this is the best cleanser you will ever get. Yes, there are hundreds of cleansers out there promising you the world. But nothing beats cleansing your skin with honey.

Pure and raw honey is all you need. It will fight the germs and reduce the amount of rashes and breakouts. Just put it on your face, massage it and leave it on for a good five minutes.

Wash it off gently with warm water. Do it for a week and see the results for yourself. Nothing will make you happier than that glowing skin afterward.

Exfoliate That Face

Exfoliating is also very vital. Exfoliation gets rid of the dead layer of skin, leaving you with a brighter and glowing skin.

There are countless products out there that help with exfoliating, but nothing works better than natural ones. A simple mixture of coconut oil and sugar works the best.

Rub it on your face and up to your skin gently using circular motions for at least a minute. Doing this once or twice a week will change your life and your skin for the better.

Hydration Is Key

This is a tip everybody is familiar with. It’s a simple and easy enough tip to follow. So, if you don’t keep yourself hydrated, now would be a good time to start.

Create the habit of drinking lots of water daily. Remind yourself by setting up alerts on your phone. Eating vegetables or fruits that have a high level of water works too.

For instance, having watermelons, cucumbers, strawberries or even oranges can bring a drastic change to your skin. Doing this and drinking a solid amount of water everyday keeps your skin clear and fresh.

Keep It Au Naturel

While the idea of using absurd amounts of chemicals on your face may be intriguing, I’m here to tell you that it isn’t.

Many people are negative about the idea of using egg whites all over their faces, no matter how good it is for the skin. I know this because I am one of those many people.

One of my favorite face care routine is to use Aloe Vera mixed with some lemon juice on my skin at least once or twice a week. It stings, but you know it’s a good sting. It does wonders for the hair too!

Aloe Vera repairs damaged skin, reduces dark spots, fights aging and cures sunburnt skin. This natural product has everything you’ll ever need. Give your skin the kindness and love it deserves!

Let Your Skin Breathe, Sleep!

I cannot stress this tip enough. As someone who suffers from sleeping disorders, a restful sleep comes as a miracle for the skin and body.

Getting enough sleep is extremely important. Otherwise, your skin loses its youthful elasticity and as a result starts to sag. Need I mention the dark circles that come with it?

Losing your original complexion isn’t something you can afford to lose. So, get at least 8 hours of sleep every night. Remember to cleanse and moisturize your skin before getting that beauty sleep.

Nobody is a fan of tired skin, hit the covers and let your skin breathe!

Take Care of Yourself

There is no shortcut to achieving naturally beautiful skin. The road is long and requires a routine that you need to stick by. Avoid stress and welcome healthy diets. Get a decent amount of sleep and workout regularly. And also remember the golden rule!

The secret to having a naturally beautiful skin starts with taking care of yourself first. Feel beautiful to be beautiful!
