Description

What is Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel?

Vitix® was created specifically to regulate melanin activity in the skin. It is composed of microspheres of a plant extract that is extremely high in anti-oxidant activity and cleans up excessive concentrations of Hydrogen peroxide in the skin, which is thought to be harmful to the melanocytes (melanin-producing cells in the epidermis). Vitix® gel helps to rebuild melanin, and with this restoration, there is a good chance that the skin restores its color.

Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel has been specially formulated to help regulate melanin activity in the skin. It is made up of microspheres of a plant extract that is exceptionally rich in anti-oxidant activity which mops up excessive amounts of Hydrogen peroxide in the skin which is thought to be toxic to the melanocytes, the melanin-producing cells in the epidermis.

Twice daily application of Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel helps restore melanin and with this restoration, there can be a great possibility that color will return to the skin. Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel can be used along with the treatments using PUVA, UVB, and heliotherapy (sunlight) therapy.

  • Re-establishes the cells responsible for producing skin pigments (melanocytes)
  • Contains microspheres of a patented vegetable extract with many anti-oxidizing properties
  • A nongreasy opaque gel with a slightly granular appearance
  • Applied once to twice daily to the affected areas for 3 to 6 months
  • Can be used in association with PUVA or UVB Therapy

Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel has a slightly “grainy” feel to it when applied to the skin. These “grains” are the microspheres that protect and contain the natural enzymes which help the repigmentation to occur.

How to use Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel

Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel should be applied on the affected areas as well as on the contour of the lesions twice a day by gently massaging it into the skin in a circular motion until the microspheres can no longer be felt. After penetration, you may apply a regular skin care cream or makeup.

Treatment should be continued for 3 to 6 months, Additional benefits have been shown if Vitix gel is used in combination with phototherapy. Results should become apparent between the second and fourth months of use. Repigmentation of white marks may be seen in the form of small round marks or uniformly when the melanocytes have not completely disappeared from the area which has lost its pigment.

Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel doesn’t work for everybody. It’s important to point out that, as with all treatments there are a number of patients who will not respond to Vitix treatment. Clinical studies carried out using Vitix plus phototherapy compared to placebo (dummy gel) plus phototherapy demonstrated that the probability of gaining a 50% reduction in the size of a pale patch of skin was twice as great in the Vitix group than in the placebo.

Could my white patches disappear? Vitiligo is a condition during which, most of the time, repigmentation in areas that have lost their pigmentation may be achieved. Patients must follow their dermatologist’s recommendations. Treatment often takes a long time.

How can I reduce the white patches caused by my vitiligo? Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel can help with rapid repigmentation if used over a period of several months and as advised by your dermatologist.

How long must I wait to see an improvement with Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel? That depends on the patient, the type of vitiligo, individual physiological factors, and the degree to which the patient observes the posology. In our experience, results may be obtained with Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel from the 2nd month of use onwards.

How can I restore my pigmentation? There are three types of repigmentation:

  • uniform and progressive repigmentation.
  • concentric repigmentation, which begins around the edges of the area which has lost its pigmentation.
  • “confetti” repigmentation, which begins in the pilosebaceous follicles. This produces colored marks, which gradually come together, resulting in complete repigmentation.

Can I expose myself to the sun while using Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel? On your doctor’s advice, you may expose your skin to the sun in moderation, or as prescribed by your doctor.

Can I put on makeup when suffering from vitiligo? You can put on makeup in areas affected by vitiligo with no problem, provided that you apply your treatment regularly and constantly. Choose your makeup carefully according to the characteristics of your vitiligo and the aesthetic results obtained.

How do I apply Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel? Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel must be applied twice a day in combination with phototherapy or heliotherapy, morning and evening, to skin cleaned in advance and free of makeup.

Can Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel be used on children, and if so, from how old? Vitix® Repigmentation Skincare Gel may be used with no problem on children aged 6 and upwards.
