What is Skin Lightening Peel
Arginine 15% is effective in transporting ingredients underneath the surface of the skin, stimulating blood flow and increasing poor circulation. This allows it to act as a natural moisturizing agent beneath the skin from the inside out. Arginine also functions as an antioxidant to help naturally build collagen production, promoting elasticity and vitality.
Arginine is an amino acid derived from brown sugar. It activates the immune system and increases protein synthesis, helps heal eliminate excess ammonia and is a precursor to nitric acid (vasodilation) anti-inflammatory with moisturizing effects. Enhances the skin’s circulatory system (vasodilator). It encourages collagen production and increases elasticity. It is a larger molecule so no irritation occurs. Excellent for sensitive skin.
Lactic Acid 10% is a mild chemical peel (Alpha Hydroxy Acid or AHA) and is thought to be more accepted by the skin than other AHA’s as our body produces lactic acid. It’s a luxurious alternative to harsh scrubs or peel-off face masks. Lactic acid works at the base of the skin’s stratum corneum, dissolving the ‘glue’ that holds dead skin cells together. Because this increases cell turnover, skin becomes smoother, more elastic and more even in tone and texture.
At the same time, Lactic Acid 10% also stimulates your skin to produce more collagen. Collagen is the main structural protein of the skin and keeps it elastic and line-free; when this starts to disintegrate, the skin begins to sag and wrinkle. Replacing the collagen your skin has lost with age can help diminish crow’s feet around the eyes, frown lines, and vertical lines around the lips. Lactic acid penetrates beneath the surface of the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin this causes tight skin and reduces wrinkles.
Kojic acid 5% is made from several different types of fungi. It’s also a byproduct when certain foods ferment, including Japanese sake, soy sauce, and rice wine. Kojic acid inhibits and prevents the formation of tyrosine, which is an amino acid that’s needed to produce melanin. Melanin is the pigment that affects hair, skin, and eye color. Because it inhibits the production of melanin, kojic acid can have a lightening effect.
Citric Acid 10% is an Alpha/Beta Hydroxy Acid found naturally in citrus fruits such as lemons and limes. In skin care formulations, Citric Acid has protective antioxidant and corrective antiaging effects helping to reverse visible signs of photodamage. Peel formulated with 10% Citric Acid to lightly exfoliate dead surface cells and rough spots to uncover smooth texture, provide defense against environmental stressors.
