Description

What is Revize 0.02% Tretinoin cream | Obagi Renova generic

Revize cream’s active ingredient is Vitamin A, which draws dead skin cells to the surface and stimulates the growth of new skin cells. This improves the texture and firmness of skin while preventing pore-clogging and acne appearance. For those with super sensitive skin find Revize’s side effects such as peeling, dryness, and burning. As a result, a market for alternatives to the cream has flourished.

Revize cream is useful for treating most skin-related issues like acne, acne scars, skin lightening, removing wrinkles, fading dark spots, clog pores, etc. It does not cause breakouts but helps the skin in healing it. Revize is a form of vitamin A (Retin-A) and belongs to a group of compounds called ‘retinoids’. Revize and retinol are similar but Revize tends to be a bit more aggressive than retinol which is a bit more suitable for those with sensitive skin. It is a perfect alternative to Affirm 1x 2x 3x cream.

Revize Tretinoin 0.02% cream heals from the inside out, absorbing deep within the skin to attack acne at the source, stimulate collagen production, and lighten scars and blemishes by inhibiting the production of pigmentation. The result? Clearer, brighter, smoother skin. Tretinoin is already converted into a form that the body can easily use. Its form is retinoic acid, also known as All-trans Retinoic acid (ATRA). Tretinoin is a derivative of Vitamin A, and the same acid that the body synthesis from Vitamin A. It is essential to healthy skin and multiple body functions. Brand names include Retin-A and Renova. You may need to use this cream consistently for 6 weeks to 3 months in order to fully experience results. In some cases, acne will temporarily get worse during the course of treatment. This is common and treatment should continue as directed.

Revise is a vitamin A derivative topical cream developed by the high-quality Glenmark company as an alternative for the well-performed, popular Renova and Refissa cream. With equal efficiency and similar composition, Revise offer the same tretinoin skin benefits with lesser concentrations. It is available 0.02%, 0.025% and 0.04% strengths.

Lower concentrations have lesser side effects. Revise composition is pure tretinoin that delivers the same skin rejuvenating effect as higher potencies do.

Tretinoin is primarily an acne treatment. It prevents blackheads and pimples from developing. It also corrects many of the issues associated with oily skin, such as clogged or wide pores. Moreover, tretinoin fights aging signs. It increases skin firmness and elasticity. Consequently, it reduces wrinkles and fine lines appearances.

Revize cream for acne

Acne is the most pressing dermatological complaint. It is a chronic skin disease that may lead to scars and permanent skin damage. Tretinoin is the first-hand prescribed medication to treat acne. It is a vitamin A derivative that reduces dead cells’ stickiness to the surface. By enhancing dead skin cells shedding, it sets them off from building up in pores.

Comedones are the initial lesions on which acne develops. In Healthy skin, the glands produce moderate amounts of sebum in pores and follicles. Sebum travels from the base of the glands to the surface. Skin natural oils work as moisturizers that prevent water molecules from evaporating. When skin pores become clogged with debris, the sebum and dead cells build up inside the pore lumen creating a black or white head. A clogged pore is a preferable environment for bacterial growth. Once bacterias invade and proliferate inside the skin, inflammation follows with immune cells destroying skin cells along with bacterias.

Tretinoin relieves clogged pores obstruction and helps glands expel their contents. Tretinoin acts on the deep skin layers to increase skin cells turnover. This way, new cells rapidly replace dying and old cells. Thus, tretinoin is a potent exfoliating agent that enhances dead cell shedding. Moreover, it controls sebum production. With lesser oil secretion and no dead cells build-up, the skin pores become tight and less noticeable.

Revize cream for aging skin

Tretinoin is a popular and the most effective component in antiaging skincare products. Trials showed that tretinoin has short-term and long-term impacts against skin aging. Tretinoin not only tightens up pores but also prevents acne pimples occurrence. But it also boosts skin regenerating abilities.

Aging impacts the skin in two different ways. As with the rest of the body s organs, the skin loses its ability to repair itself. As the largest organ, the skin has a vast surface to protect against damaging environmental factors. Hence, the skin is in a constant state of renewal. Young skin contains more collagen and more cells. As the skin ages, the number of new cells produced decreases along with collagen synthesis. Subsequently, the skin becomes thinner with areas of extreme atrophy that become visible fine lines and wrinkles.

Tretinoin fights the aging impact on the skin by increasing cellular turnover. That translates to more new cells to replace dead and old cells. Moreover, tretinoin reduces inflammation, allowing skin cells to produce more collagen and elastin fibers.

Revize 0.02 tretinoin cream expensive popular alternatives

Look a little deeper to Revize cream predecessors and analogs. Refissa cream is made by Spear Pharmaceuticals, Refissa is a Retin-A alternative made with tretinoin 0.02%. Its chemical construction stimulates the body’s production of the connective tissues in the facial area, tightening and firming the skin. As a result, pores push dead skins to the surface and the skin’s finer lines disappear. Refissa also has an emollient-based moisturizer that absorbs water from the air to minimize skin dryness. The effect is absolutely the same as Revize cream from Glenmark.

Renova cream was created by the same company that manufactures Retin-A. Clinically, it has the same chemical constitution as its competitor Refissa. Tretinoin 0.02% of firms skin, reducing lines and acne. The emollient base moisturizes and reduces redness. The effect is absolutely the same as Revize cream from Glenmark.

Atralin cream is made by Valeant Pharmaceuticals. Atralin gel works much like Refissa, Renova, and Revize creams, in that it delivers a dosage of tretinoin 0.02% with a moisturizer base to reduce dryness. Although the others use an emollient, Atralin’s moisturizer is a glycerine-based humectant. Humectant moisturizers act as a sealant, preventing moisture from escaping the skin.

Avita cream is made by Mylan Bertek Pharmaceuticals, is more potent than its competitors. Avita has a 0.025 percent tretinoin concentration. The topical cream is approved for the treatment of mild to moderate acne and, as a result of its potency, causes more of the dryness and peeling associated with tretinoin use.

Revize 0.02 tretinoin a wrinkle treatment cream

With so many anti-aging products on the market, it is important to know which have proved effective for combating wrinkles and other signs of aging. Revize 0.02% tretinoin cream is one of these products. The cream is used to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, sun damage, and other signs of aging on the skin, as well as to treat acne. Revize cream is the brand name from Glenmark of a topical retinoid called tretinoin, which has been used to treat both acne and older-looking, sun-damaged skin. Revize cream is in a class of medications called retinoids, which are forms of vitamin A. Retinoids influence a variety of processes in the skin cells, including cell growth. At least part of the way that topical retinoids act to improve skin wrinkles is by increasing the number of epidermal – skin -cells, leading to a thickening of the skin in areas of wrinkles.

Topical Revize 0.02 tretinoin cream is one of the most common products on the market for treating skin that has been aged by exposure to the sun. The study reported that Revize 0.02% tretinoin cream considerably improved wrinkles and overall signs of sun damage. A clinical study showed that Revize 0.02% cream significantly improved fine and coarse wrinkles, skin firmness, tone, roughness, and overall sun damage on the face. These effects were achieved after applying the cream 2 times in the first week and then 3 times per week thereafter, for a total of 3 months.

The most common adverse effects of topical Revize tretinoin 0.02% cream are burning sensations, itching, redness, and peeling of the skin in the areas of application. These effects usually occur within the first few weeks of treatment. To minimize or avoid these reactions, decreasing the frequency of application or switching to a less irritating retinoid, such as adapalene (Differin), may be advised. Another side effect of retinoid therapy is increased sensitivity to wind, cold, and sun in the areas where the cream has been applied. Increased protection of the skin from the sun’s ultraviolet radiation may be needed to avoid sunburns. Revize cream adverse effects are usually less due to the low concentration of tretinoin 0.02% than with the stronger concentrations.

Precautions, when not to use Revize cream

  • Do not use Revize 0.02% tretinoin cream if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Avoid excessive sun exposure and use sunscreen and protective clothing over the treated areas.
  • Do not apply Revize cream near your eyes, mouth, nose, or mucous membranes and do not apply it to any areas of broken skin.
  • Other topical creams or products should not be used in combination with Revize cream unless recommended by your dermatologist.
  • Avoid applying Revize cream to sunburned skin or skin with eczema, as this can produce severe irritation in the area.
  • If you notice any sensitivity reactions, such as redness or a rash, stop using this cream and contact your dermatologist.

  1. Pablo Fitzgerald

    Very happy with this product!

  2. Nathaniel W

Excellent product! Noticeable difference in fine line reduction around my eyes after about 4 months of use. I’d give this product itself 5 Stars! Recommend!

  3. Marianne Soto

On my second tube & will order again

  4. Darryl Reeves

It does not work on my skin as well as Retin-A 0.05. But if you want something very light it doesn’t dry out your skin and this is the product for you

  5. Doreen Franklin

I use the Revize from Glenmark and have been for about 3 years, I started using this product in addition to my routine set and I like it, after one use I noticed a change and some peeling in the problem areas so I’m very pleased with how it works. Looking forward to continued results.

  6. Juana P

I checked out Retinol/Low-strengh tretinoin with my dermatologist and several other online sites. This was definitely the best buy and you use just a pearl size amount daily or every other day. Does a great job. My friend says this size should last a year!

  7. Christina Davis

    VERY NICE!

  8. Roberta Lambert

Very strong compared to simple retinol creams, it is a prescription strength

  9. Natalie Ingram

LOVE this creamy retinol product, less drying. –Quick shipping!

  10. Patrick W

I love this product and repeatedly order it. It helps with acne and little white bumps on my face. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is the metal tube.

  11. Irvin H

I have used prescription 0.05% Retin-A for years, but recently I have been alternating it with the Revize cream from okdermo. Technically, tretinoin 0.02% isn’t supposed to be as powerful as Retin-A classic 0.05%, but it seems to make my skin look better. I would recommend it, even as an alternative to the high-strength prescription stuff.

  12. Alexander Ramirez

    great product

  13. Walter Mccormick

This is a very strong retinol 0.02 product. Be sure to start out slow and allow your skin to adjust to the product, it is not a simple retinol from your local drug store. It is a true 0.02% tretinoin/retinoic acid. If you are not already using a retinol I would highly recommend using it 1 day and then skipping 2. If you notice signs of flaking or drying then back off an extra day. Also, a small amount goes a long way. Use pea size for entire face. 🙂

  14. Tamara Owens

I’d sure like to use the entire container before I rate the efficacy, but a lot of the cream squirted out the bottom of tube during my first attempt. Really disappointed. I read other reviews re this issue. Maybe it’s time for new packaging.

  15. Annette Norris

You just cannot beat Obagi products but this cream is real miracle, definitely must have, bout 5 tubes, and got a discount, awesome store! Thank you guys!

  16. Frank Osborne

LOVE!!!!!! JUST AS GOOD AS WHAT I HAD USED AS PRESCRIBED BY MY DR. CHEAPER A LOT, TOO.

  17. Seth Bridges

Just another great Glenmark product! Thank you okdermo for such a great supply!

  18. Rex M

I usually buy my products from my plastic surgeons office but gave it a try here. I have used this product for over 10 years. This does work. One tube lasts 4 months for my extensive use – I am happy with this product, the price three times lower than Obagi’s Renova or even Refissa.

  19. Meredith Bailey

Not quite as effective as Retin-A 0.05% strength, but it’s a good quality product if you don’t want to go to the dermatologist. I am 55 yr with sun damaged skin, lots of dark spots. This product was strong enough to reverse some of the hyper pigmentation and revel much healthier skin below the dull surface layer. Because of the lower concentration of Retin-A the process is slower, but I also notice that I had much less irritation than with prescription0.05%. Bottom line, it works.

  20. Dennis Cross

At first I thought it really took away wrinkles by my eyes and on one side of my face. I use it everynight and it seems that it seems good early in the day – then all the wrinkles return even with good sunscreen and moisturizer. But I am 85!!!

  21. Vikki

Very soft emollient cream, great renova replacement! Recommend!

  22. Sue

I’m a Black woman with caramel colored skin. This stuff did absolutely nothing for me. I saw no exfoliating effect or improvement in evening out my skin tone at all and now this stuff is sitting in my bathroom drawer. Will buy 0.1% strength simple tretinoin better

  23. Clint

Revize product is the best and with long term use, produce amazing results. This retinol is less aggressive than the RetinA 0.05, and I like it for maintenance. If you need more drastic transformation of your skin, I’d go with prescription level RetinA 0.025%, 0.05% or even 0.1% and once your skin looks clear, even and smooth, switch to this retinol for maintenance.

  24. Rudy Griffin

My bottle might be defective. It’s really difficult to get the product out. I have to squeeze like crazy. It’s certainly not a miracle cream, when it comes to packaging.

  25. Sarah R.

    Will definitely order again !

  26. Beth M

I have been using this product once a day for a week and a half and I can already see a difference in my skin and complexion. I use this nightly after my face-wash and toner. I have experienced some very slight peeling on about day 3 but nothing like some people have experienced. Then again, my skin is not very sensitive. My overall complexion is more even and the skin feels and appears more smooth. I went out today without makeup for the first time in months. I would say it is worth every penny.

  27. Esther Burgess

Excellent retinol product for my sensitive skin. Used over a BHA product, this is very effective. Saw results within a week. Does not bother my breakout prone skin, not greasy, but lightly moisturizing. The product I received was genuine. Great value.

  28. Alonzo G

I loved it & so did a co-worker as she took it

  29. Lucas Vaughn

I love the consistency if this cream. It rubs on really nice and soaks in quickly. I use a heavier cream on top and I don’t have to wait long for it to dry. At first I thought the cream wasn’t coming out properly then realized you have to push down on the applicator part to easier release the cream. I think it did a lot for my skin to reduce fine lines and even out skin tone. Will I buy it again? Probably not. I would like to try some other products, stronger ones, but I’m not regretful I bought it and I may come back to it:) It did not irritate my skin but I definitely felt a tightness when I woke up each morning. That to me means it’s working!!

  30. Cecil G

It took almost 10 days to get results, very effective. Careful to monitor as it can be very harsh if you use it every day

  31. Hattie Goodman

So thick it would not come out of the tube, like ointment. I reordered. Same with the second tube. Might be old??? No, expiration on the tube 1.5 years ahead! Refunded

  32. Lynda Taylor

Great product, I’ve been using this for years. I recently purchased this from another website and I have to say they still have a problem with their container, it is a manufacturer issue probably – the hole is too small, when I squeezed hard the whole top came off. It’s been two years that this has not been fixed. It doesn’t matter where it’s purchased, it’s still the same issue.

  33. Osama U.

Great tretinoin products, great website, fantastic prices, great discount coupons by email, fast shipping. Could not be any better! Shipping is expensive, one minus

  34. Neil Colon

Love this product. Been using this for years

  35. Dominick Hampton

    Excellent product!

  36. Amanda Remmi

I have used this Revize from okdermo for at least half a year now and see a great difference in my skin. I am pleased! Previously used simple retinol creams (expensive and not) but they were not effective at all, definitely recommend revise cream, it is truly working for fine lines and refreshing skin very fast.

  37. Guadalupe Rodriquez

The bottom burst on this tube a couple of weeks after I purchased it. Too frustrated cleaning up the mess. Needs clear instructions for use.

  38. Emily Richards

I applied to my face and neck as directed. The first week I had no issues. Slight tingling when I applied. However, after that my face became very very sensitive and irritated. I had to discontinue due to the intense redness and burning. I was very surprised since I have good skin and have never had this problem before. I do understand Retinol/Tretinoin 0.02% will cause some peeling and irritation which is part of the process. However, this was very intense and I am reluctant to try it again.

  39. Stanley Ferguson

I like the consistency of this product, very economical packaging and thick cream, and I’ve noticed that my skin looks more fresh and bright, but my fine lines haven’t changed at all, probably I need 0.05% tretinoin.

  40. William Jackson

I’m a 21 year old female and I’ve had moderate acne on my face, chest and back and have been struggling with it ever since I was 12/13, there aren’t any huge cysts but a lot of white heads and under the surface red bumps. I have used almost every acne treatment accept for roaccutane but for some reason never tried a retinoid. Going on the pill did help a little bit with keeping the acne under control but it didn’t clear my skin up completely. I started first 0.02% on my face, then bought a 0,05% tretinoin cream on my back half a year ago before summer (as you can’t go into the sun with it) and it worked like a miracle. It did make my skin peal a lot in the beginning but cleared it up super fast and also got rid of the scarring which is always a big problem for me. I stopped using it when it was cleared up (after 1,5 month even maybe) and summer started and it hasn’t really come back again! I also tried it on my face but stopped really soon as it made my skin peal like crazy and I was really dependent on make up at that time which made my skin look flaky. I have now learned to not wear make up as much and I thought it might be time to try the tretinoin on my face now. When using it on my back I used quite a lot of the cream because the skin on my back is a lot less sensitive, it pealed but didn’t get irritated. I also didn’t really mind that it looked bad at that time because I could just hide my back with clothes, which I already did anyway because of the acne. With my face I am taking it a bit slower with the dosage and have been using a pea size every other night. In the beginning my skin did peal a little bit but it didn’t look too bad if I just applied a lot of moisturizer (I use an aloe vera gel myself) and not wore make up (as this made the dry flakes more obvious). After doing this for three weeks my skin is slowly becoming less flaky and I am able to wear make up again without it looking dry. I am very perfectionistic with my skin but people in my surroundings have commented on how much better my skin looks and I have noticed a difference in the acne (even though it’s not gone yet), I definitely have less pimples and I feel like my scars are fading. I do have high hopes for it though as it did clear up by back completely! I would really recommend using this but to be careful and patient. Want to say thank you, okdermo and your helpful support! Left you a positive review, your customer for life!! 🙂
