What is Progesterone 8% Vaginal Gel Susten® Crinone

Susten® vaginal gel (pre-filled applicators) is a topical vaginal preparation (generic Crinone) used in the women for the treatment of infertility (Secondary Amenorrhea) or irregular menstrual cycle by hormone replacement therapy. Susten gel is made by reputable SUN Pharmaceuticals.

Amenorrhea is the absence of a menstrual period in a woman of reproductive age. Physiological states of amenorrhoea are seen, most commonly, during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding), the latter also forming the basis of a form of contraception known as the lactational amenorrhoea method. Outside the reproductive years, there is an absence of menses during childhood and after menopause.

Amenorrhoea is a symptom with many potential causes. Primary amenorrhoea is defined as an absence of secondary sexual characteristics by age 14 with no menarche or normal secondary sexual characteristics but no menarche by 16 years of age. It may be caused by developmental problems, such as the congenital absence of the uterus, failure of the ovary to receive or maintain egg cells, or delay in pubertal development. Secondary amenorrhoea (menstrual cycles ceasing) is often caused by hormonal disturbances from the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland, from premature menopause or intrauterine scar formation. It is defined as the absence of menses for three months in a woman with previously normal menstruation, or nine months for women with a history of oligomenorrhoea.

Sustein supplied in a box of 10 pre-filled vaginal applicators 1.35g each. Susten contains progesterone 8% and treats infertility in women by adaptable ovulation and stimulating the discharge of an egg from the ovaries. It treats infertility by organizing the lining of the womb to obtain a fertilized egg.

Susten gel may also be used through in vitro fertilization (IVF) when infertility, in women who have normal ovulatory menstrual cycles, may be due to harms with the fallopian tubes or the womb. Each pre-filled applicator contains 1.35 grams of gel and delivers 1.125 grams of gel containing 90mg progesterone component. Crinone gel price is always available on okdermo.com.

Prometrium (progesterone) and Crinone alternative – Susten (progesterone) are forms of the female hormone progesterone used to treat secondary amenorrhea. Prometrium is also prescribed to prevent endometrial hyperplasia in non-hysterectomized postmenopausal women receiving conjugated estrogens tablets. Susten (Crinone alternative) is also used to treat infertile women with progesterone deficiency. Prometrium and Susten (Crinone generic) are taken in different forms.
