What is Perobar® Cleansing Bar?
Perobar® Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% / 5% Cleansing Bar is an anti-bacterial medicine that helps treat acne. Acne appears as spots or pimples on your face, chest, or back. This medicine works by killing acne-causing bacteria. Benzoyl peroxide attacks the bacteria (germs) known as Propionibacterium acnes, one of the main causes of acne. It also has peeling and drying properties.
The Perobar® Acne Cleansing Bar 2.5% / 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Cleansing Bar was specially formulated for those with acne. This bar is for use on mild to moderate acne. It may be used in combination with other acne treatments as directed by your doctor. When applied to the skin, benzoyl peroxide (BPO) works by reducing the amount of acne-causing bacteria and by causing the skin to dry and peel. Benzoyl peroxide works well for mild pustules.
Directions to use Perobar®
For best results use daily. Work up a lather using warm water and gently massage into problem areas. The cleansing solution should stay in contact with the skin for at least 60-90 seconds. Then rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Use at least twice a week on affected areas in place of your regular soap or as directed by a doctor. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day. If desired, follow cleansing with the moisturizer of your choosing.
Warning
This product is not for use on broken skin or for internal use. In case of incidental ingestion, contact a physician or poison control center immediately. Rinse with water if the solution comes into contact with the eyes.
BPO will bleach stain clothing and towels – use caution. It leaves funky orange stains on nearly everything it touches. Wash your hands well with soap and water after each application. Rinse your face and body extremely well before toweling off to prevent staining of fabrics.
