Description

What is Lycopene with Multivitamin + Multimineral Tablets Lycoxid®

Lycoxid® tablets is a Multivitamin + Multimineral complex with Lycopene. What particular ingredients contain Lycoxid® tablet you may check below:

Beta-carotene 10% – The name beta carotene comes from the Greek “beta” and Latin “carota” (carrot). It is the yellow/orange pigment that gives vegetables and fruits their rich colors. H. Wachenroder crystallized beta carotene from carrot roots in 1831, and came up with the name “carotene”. The human body converts beta carotene into vitamin A (retinol) – beta carotene is a precursor of vitamin A. We need vitamin A for healthy skin and mucous membranes, our immune system, and good eye health and vision.

Beta carotene, like all carotenoids, is an antioxidant. An antioxidant is a substance that inhibits the oxidation of other molecules; it protects the body from free radicals. Free radicals damage cells through oxidation. Eventually, the damage caused by free radicals can cause several chronic illnesses. Several studies have shown that antioxidants through diet help people’s immune systems, protect against free radicals, and lower the risk of developing cancer and heart disease. Helps maintain eye health, supports healthy skin and hair, a powerful antioxidant to support the immune system.

Lycopene 10% (7500mcg) – Lycopene is a naturally occurring chemical that gives fruits and vegetables a red color. It is one of a number of pigments called carotenoids. Lycopene is found in tomatoes, watermelons, red oranges, pink grapefruits, apricots, rosehips, and guavas. In North America, 85% of dietary lycopene comes from tomato products such as ketchup, tomato juice, sauce, or paste. A serving of fresh tomatoes contains between 4 mg and 10 mg of lycopene, while one cup (240 mL) of tomato juice provides about 20 mg. Processing raw tomatoes using heat (in the making of tomato juice, tomato paste or ketchup, for example) actually changes the lycopene in the raw product into a form that is easier for the body to use. The lycopene in supplements is about as easy for the body to use as lycopene found in food.

One of the biggest benefits of lycopene is that it is an antioxidant and protects the body of damage from free radical stress, which can hurt DNA and other cell structures. The antioxidant properties help balance free radical activity in the body and in doing so, may offer protection against certain diseases, keep bones strong and healthy, and help eyesight by helping delay or prevent cataracts, macular degeneration, and other age-related eye disorders. People are trying lycopene for lowering blood pressure and high cholesterol, for heart disease and cancer, and many other conditions. Lycopene is a powerful antioxidant that may help protect cells from damage. This is why there is a lot of research interest in lycopene’s role, if any, in preventing cancer.

Vitamin-C 150 mg – Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is a vitamin your body needs to form blood vessels, cartilage, muscle, and collagen in bones. Vitamin C is also vital to your body’s healing process. An antioxidant, vitamin C might help protect your cells against the effects of free radicals — molecules produced when your body breaks down food or is exposed to tobacco smoke and radiation. Free radicals might play a role in heart disease, cancer, and other diseases. Vitamin C also helps your body absorb and store iron. Because your body doesn’t produce vitamin C, you need to get it from your diet. Vitamin C is found in citrus fruits, berries, potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, brussels sprouts, broccoli, and spinach.

Minerals – We know how important vitamins are for our bodies, but what about minerals? Minerals perform various vital functions, including keeping your bones, muscles, heart, and brain working properly. According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), most adult Americans aren’t getting enough of the nutrients their bodies need. That includes minerals like calcium, potassium, and magnesium, copper (trace mineral), zinc (trace mineral).

Vitamin-E – Vitamin E is an antioxidant. It may help protect your cells from damage. This essential nutrient occurs naturally in many foods. It’s also available as a dietary supplement. Sometimes, it’s in processed foods. Vitamin E is fat-soluble. This means your body stores and uses it as needed. The term “vitamin E” describes eight different compounds. Alpha-tocopherol is the most active one in humans.

Vitamin E is a nutrient that’s important to vision, reproduction, and the health of your blood, brain and skin. Vitamin E also has antioxidant properties. Antioxidants are substances that might protect your cells against the effects of free radicals – molecules produced when your body breaks down food or is exposed to tobacco smoke and radiation. Free radicals might play a role in heart disease, cancer and other diseases. Vitamin E deficiency can cause nerve pain (neuropathy).

Zeaxanthin 10% (25 mg) – Lutein and zeaxanthin are two important carotenoids, which are pigments produced by plants that give fruits and vegetables a yellow to a reddish hue. They’re structurally very similar, with just a slight difference in the arrangement of their atoms. Both are potent antioxidants and offer a range of health benefits. However, lutein and zeaxanthin are best known for protecting your eyes.

Lutein and zeaxanthin are widely recommended as dietary supplements to prevent visual loss or eye disease. They’re usually sourced from marigold flowers and mixed with waxes but can also be made synthetically. These supplements are especially popular among older adults who are concerned about failing eye health. Low levels of lutein and zeaxanthin in the eyes are associated with age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataracts, while higher blood levels of these carotenoids are linked to an up to 57% reduced risk of AMD. Other people may benefit from lutein and zeaxanthin supplements, as dietary intakes of carotenoids are often low. Supplementing with lutein and zeaxanthin can also improve your overall antioxidant status, which may offer greater protection against stressors.
