What is Fluoritop® Anticaries Mouthrinse?
Fluoritop® Mouth Wash is used in the treatment, control, prevention, and improvement of cavities (dental decay) in children and adults. It improves the patient’s condition by strengthening the teeth and decreasing the effects of acid and bacteria on the teeth. Fluoritop® Anticaries Mouthrinse contains Sodium Fluoride 0.044% and Acidulated Phosphate as an active component. Fluoritop® Anticaries Daily Rinse is a daily fluoride mouth rinse providing supplemental topical fluoride to prevent dental caries. Suitable for adults and children over 6 years of age who may be at caries risk. Clinically proven to reduce caries1, great-tasting orange flavor, proven efficacy.
Sodium Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that serves to protect teeth from dental caries. It is scientifically proven that the correct amount of fluoride in water and the use of fluoride-containing toothpaste and mouth rinses have a significant benefit on oral health and help to reduce tooth decay. Sodium fluoride reduces caries by inhibiting demineralization (loss of minerals) and promoting remineralization of the tooth surface. Fluoride ions are taken up into the enamel and form fluorapatite which is harder than hydroxyapatite. Thus, fluoride strengthens the enamel which is then more resistant to acid attacks and the incidence of dental caries is reduced.
Acidulated Phosphate provides sodium fluoride. This is a mineral that strengthens tooth enamel and prevents tooth decay. Ask your dentist for advice, especially if you move to a new area where the amount of fluoride in the water may be different. How to use Fluoritop® Anticaries Mouthrinse
- Adults and children 6 years of age and older: use once a day after brushing teeth with toothpaste. Vigorously swish 10ml of rinse between your teeth for 1 minute and then spit out.
- Do not swallow the rinse. Do not eat or drink for 30 minutes after rinsing. Children under 6 years of age. Ask a dentist or physician.
- Dose: 10ml once a day or as directed by the dentist or physician.
