What is Elaimei® Silicone Scar Sheet?
Elaimei® Silicone Scar Sheets are made with advanced silicone technology, the latest innovation used by hospitals, plastic surgeons, and burn centers around the world. Elaimei®’s clinically tested silicone technology mimics the natural barrier function of healthy skin. Research suggests that silicone acts hydrate scar tissue, which in turn works to soften the scar, reducing excessive scar formation and causing it to fade.
The Pharmacy Times continuing education course entitled “Contemporary Options for the Management of Scars” recognizes silicone sheeting and gel as topical scar products with strong clinical evidence for both treating and preventing scars. Elaimei® works to diminish the appearance of hypertrophic scars and keloids, which have a raised and/or discolored appearance. These types of scars may result from surgery, injuries, burns, acne, cuts, insect bites, mole removal, biopsies, acne, and much more.
Sometimes scars can be an unpleasant reminder of the past. The Silicone Scar Sheets by Elaimei® have been designed for the most effective drug-free reduction and removal of scars. Reusable scar removal sheets hydrate and moisturize skin while providing a precise, painless, and non-invasive solution to flatten, smooth, and fade all forms of hypertrophic and keloid scars. Whether your scars are old or new, our silicone scar removal sheets can be used safely and effectively in the privacy of your home. Sheets are customizable and can be cut to size with scissors.
No matter what your scar story is, with Elaimei® Scar Silicone Strips, the difference is clear. Do Silicone Patches Really Work for Wrinkles?
When it comes to wrinkles, it can feel like nothing will work to help reduce signs of aging. Your wrinkles or fine lines might be deep-set, or just aren’t responding to skincare products like retinol. Before you run to get botox, consider one last option: silicone.
You heard that right. Silicone patches, while less known than ingredients like retinol, are just as effective in helping to fade the appearance of aging on the skin. These patches can be found in all shapes and sizes and can be used on different areas of your skin, like your neck or decollete.
Basically, each of these patches is made from medical-grade silicone, which creates the perfect environment to retain moisture in the skin. It doesn’t allow outside air to get to the skin and actually draws up moisture from the skin, creating a plumping effect in the affected area. It also increases blood flow to the spot, which boosts the production of collagen and helps to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. No botox, no retinol, just silicone! They’re also great if you suffer from skin sensitivity or are currently pregnant, as they’re non-invasive and don’t use ingredients like retinol to clear up wrinkles.
Elaimei® Silicone Scar Sheets Tape is a great option if you’re looking to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles quickly and without injectibles or retinol.
So, do they actually work for wrinkles? The short answer is yes. With botox or injectables, you might see immediate results, but with consistent use of any of these silicone patches, you’ll see an improvement in the appearance of your fine lines and wrinkles at a fraction of the cost and without any unnecessary irritation.
The secret of silicone gel sheets lies in the way they’re constructed. A silicone polymer is created when silicon and oxygen atoms are cross-linked with hydrogen and carbon atoms. This atomic structure allows the silicone polymer to perform two main duties:
It lets your skin breathe by allowing oxygen to easily pass through.
It locks in moisture.
These two elements create a micro-climate between the skin and the silicone pad. With optimal oxygen flow and hydration, this micro-climate provides a unique environment that’s conducive to the skin’s healing process. Compression keeps the skin flat as moisture is brought to the surface skin layers (dermis) from deeper layers of the skin. At the same time, collagen production is activated and becomes normalized.
After several hours of wear, silicone gel sheets encourage plump, hydrated, and rejuvenated skin to appear. Ideally, silicone gel sheets should be worn for about eight hours at a time, which is why most people find it best to apply them before bedtime, and wear them while they sleep.
There are several wrinkle-reduction methods available today. Some, such as injections and surgery, are not only invasive, but they’re typically quite expensive, too. Anti-aging lotions and creams, on the other hand, are usually quite affordable, but they often take months to show results. Laser treatments and skin peels are often effective, but they usually require multiple treatments, which can get costly, and they’ve been known to leave skin red and irritated afterward.
Silicone gel sheets provide a happy balance between price, invasiveness, and overall effectiveness. Wrinkles may think they’re settling in for a long stay, but nobody said you have to endure these unwelcome intruders forever. Through the application of silicone scar sheets and silicone gel sheets, your skin’s blemishes should begin to fade away, leaving healthy, elastic skin in its wake.
