Dapotime® Dapoxetine Tablets

Dapoxetine 60mg

(3 customer reviews)

USD $63.00

Dapotime is a generic form of Dapoxetine. Each tablet contains exactly 60mg of Dapoxetine, manufactured by HAB Pharmaceuticals & Research Ltd., a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that is specifically used to treat and prevent premature ejaculation (PE) in men. It is defined as early ejaculation with minimal sexual stimulation before or soon after penetration and can cause distress and problems with relationships. Dapotime is used to improve control over ejaculation and increase the time interval before ejaculation occurs during intercourse, for men with persistent or recurrent PE.

Dapoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor. It is engineered for premature ejaculation in men. The drug works by increasing the intra-vaginal ejaculatory latency time. Unlike other premature ejaculation medicine that requires taking them on a daily basis, Dapoxetine is taken on ‘as needed’ basis. It should be taken three hours before sexual activity.

Seek advice from your doctor before you start using Dapoxetine. You need to be assessed appropriately for the right dose to be prescribed.

Description

What is Dapoxetine 60mg Dapotime® | Generic Priligy

Dapotime tablets are used to treat premature ejaculation (PE), which is one of the most common causes of sexual dysfunction in men. It is defined as early ejaculation with minimal sexual stimulation before or soon after penetration and can cause distress and problems with relationships. Dapotime is used to improve control over ejaculation and increase the time interval before ejaculation occurs during intercourse, for men with persistent or recurrent PE.

Dapoxetine, marketed as Priligy and Westoxetin among others, is a medication used for the treatment of premature ejaculation (PE) in men 18–64 years old. Dapoxetine works by inhibiting the serotonin transporter, increasing serotonin’s action at the postsynaptic cleft, and as a consequence promoting ejaculatory delay. As a member of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) family, dapoxetine was initially created as an antidepressant. However, unlike other SSRIs, dapoxetine is absorbed and eliminated rapidly in the body. Its fast-acting property makes it suitable for the treatment of PE but not as an antidepressant.

Originally created by Eli Lilly pharmaceutical company, dapoxetine was sold to Johnson & Johnson in 2003 and submitted as a New Drug Application to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of PE in 2004. Dapoxetine is sold in several European and Asian countries, and in Mexico. In the US, dapoxetine has been in phase III development since 2003. However, it is expected to be marketed soon. In 2012, Menarini acquired the rights to commercialize Dapoxetine in Europe, most of Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Premature ejaculation is defined as ejaculating with minimal sexual stimulation before, or soon after penetration, and can cause distress, and problems with relationships. It is one of the most common causes of sexual dysfunction in men. Dapotime is effective at increasing the time it takes before ejaculation occurs along with improving control over ejaculation.

Premature ejaculation

Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trials have confirmed the efficacy of dapoxetine for the treatment of PE. The different dosage has different impacts on different types of PE. Dapoxetine 60 mg significantly improves the mean intravaginal ejaculation latency time (IELT) compared to that of dapoxetine 30 mg in men with lifelong PE, but there is no difference in men with acquired PE.

Dapoxetine, given 1–3 hours before sexual episode, prolongs IELT and increases the sense of control and sexual satisfaction in men of 18 to 64 years of age with PE. Since PE is associated with personal distress and interrelationship difficulty, dapoxetine provides help for men with PE to overcome this condition. With no drug approved specifically for treatment for PE in the US and some other countries, other SSRIs such as fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline, fluvoxamine, and citalopram have been used off-label to treat PE.

Waldinger’s meta-analysis shows that the use of these conventional antidepressants increases IELT two- to nine-fold above baseline, compared to three- to eight-fold when dapoxetine is used. However, these SSRIs may need to be taken daily in order to achieve meaningful efficacy, and their comparatively longer half-lives increase the risk of drug accumulation and a corresponding increase of adverse effects such as reduced libido. Dapoxetine, on the other hand, is generally categorized as a fast-acting SSRI. It is more rapidly absorbed and mostly eliminated from the body within a few hours. These pharmacokinetics are more favorable in that they might minimize drug accumulation in the body, habituation, and side effects.

How does Dapoxetine 60mg Dapotime® | Generic Priligy work

Dapotime tablets contain dapoxetine 60mg, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that is used specifically for premature ejaculation (PE), as it has a rapid onset of action, with maximum effect within 1-2 hours and a short half-life, which means that it is rapidly eliminated from the body within 24 hours. Ejaculation is a reflex that is mediated by the sympathetic nervous system.

When sexual stimulation has reached a certain threshold, sensory nerve cells in the spinal cord are activated and nerve impulses are sent to the brain, which then sends messages back to motor neurons controlling the muscles in the penis that contract to effect ejaculation. The ejaculation reflex is thought to be mediated by serotonin, a specific brain chemical or neurotransmitter that is involved is transmitting nerve signals, which enables brain cells to communicate.

Low levels of serotonin in certain areas of the brain are thought to be responsible for causing PE. Dapoxetine in Dapotime blocks the reuptake of serotonin from the synapse, which is the gap between nerve cells across which chemical messages are sent from one nerve cell to another. If the reuptake of serotonin by the first nerve cell (pre-synaptic) is blocked, this means that there is more serotonin remaining for the receiving nerve cell (post-synaptic), which allows nerve cells to communicate with each other for longer. This action of dapoxetine in Dapotime 60 helps prolong the ability to maintain sexual activity without premature ejaculation and maintain control over ejaculation for longer. Dapoxetine in Dapotime helps improve control over ejaculation and increase the time interval before ejaculation occurs during intercourse, for men with persistent or recurrent PE.
