WHAT IS DANFREE KETOCONAZOLE 2% DANDRUFF SHAMPOO

Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Dandruff Shampoo 100ml is a medicated dandruff treatment shampoo which contains Ketoconazole 2% made by reputable brand Cipla. Danfree or its famous alternative to Nizoral Shampoo both are dandruff shampoos contains with the active ingredient ketoconazole 2%, which is a medicine called an antifungal / fungicidal, used to treat infections with fungi and yeasts. Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Dandruff Shampoo contains ketoconazole 2%, an antifungal and zinc pyrithione, a fungistatic, that are used together to treat severe dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis, which are conditions of the scalp thought to be caused by an inflammatory reaction of the fungus malassezia.

Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Dandruff Shampoo is used to treat and prevent conditions of the scalp, including severe dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis, thought to be caused by an inflammatory reaction to the metabolites of the fungus malassezia. This is a yeast normally found in the skin, but if it becomes overgrown it can cause skin problems. Seborrhoeic dermatitis is a chronic form of eczema/dermatitis that affects mainly the scalp and face causing dry or greasy scaling of the scalp. Dandruff, also known as pityriasis capitis, is a common mild form of seborrhoeic dermatitis, characterised by flaking of the skin on the scalp. Other conditions may cause dandruff, including dry skin or oily skin, which can cause clumping of skin cells that have been shed; tinea capitis a fungal infection of the scalp caused by the a dermatophyte fungus tinea; also psoriasis, a non-allergic chronic inflammatory skin disease that is characterised by the appearance of red raised patches of thickened skin covered in a dry silvery scaly rash and is thought to be an autoimmune disorder (hyperactivity of the immune system which then attacks self). Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Dandruff Shampoo relieves the itching, redness and scaling caused by these conditions.

Ketoconazole 2%, a strong anti-fungal solution , can also be effective in stimulating new hair growth if you suffer from androgenetic alopecia. Androgenetic alopecia, also called male and female pattern baldness, is a frequent cause of hair loss in both men and women, although it is more common in men. Ketoconazole 2% is available in tablet form to treat fungal infections of the urinary tract, skin or mouth and is also available as a shampoo to treat fungal infections and other conditions of the scalp. The American Hair Loss Association reports that the 1 percent version may not be as effective as the 2 percent ketoconazole strength shampoo.

Androgenetic alopecia: Androgenetic alopecia causes hair loss at the crown of the head in men and thinning hair over the entire scalp in women. Hair loss occurs due to an imbalance of dihydrotestosterone, a derivative of the male hormone testosterone. While testosterone is a hormone associated with men, women also have low levels of testosterone in their bodies. Dihydrotestosterone binds to receptors in scalp follicles, shrinking follicles and making it impossible for healthy hair to survive, according to the American Hair Loss Association. Follicles are the small openings in the skin that produce hair.

Effects: In addition to killing fungi, ketoconazole 2% is also helpful in countering the effects of dihydrotestosterone in people who have androgenetic alopecia. A studies found that topical application of 2 percent ketoconazole shampoo in mice stimulated hair growth.

Usage: Use ketoconazole 2% shampoo at the dosage prescribed by your dermatologist. The shampoo should remain on your head for five minutes before rinsing. For best results, use the shampoo regularly and avoid skipping dosages.

Considerations: You may notice an itching or stinging sensation when you first use ketoconazole 2% shampoo. If these side effects continue, inform your dermatologist. Some ketoconazole 2% products contain sulfites, which may cause allergic reactions, particularly. If you are pregnant or nursing a child, ask your dermatologist if ketoconazole 2% shampoo is safe to use before you begin treatment.

WHY TO USE DANFREE KETOCONAZOLE 2% DANDRUFF TREATMENT SHAMPOO

Dandruff – is an inflammatory skin condition with greasy, red and scaly areas / seborrhoeic dermatitis affecting the scalp and surrounded skin area, wakened up by parasitic fungus due to low organism immune capabilities. Danfree Shampoo with strong Ketoconazole 2% Dandruff treatment substance is used to flawlessly treat infections with fungi and yeasts.

Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo & Ringworm Treatment: Medically known as tinea capitis, ringworm of the scalp is a fungal infection. It’s caused by dermatophytes, a type of fungi that thrives in moist environments. Treatment typically involves an oral medication to kill the fungus, but dermatologists often recommend using a medicated shampoo at the same time. One of the shampoos that can affect ringworm is sold under the brand name of Nizoral or Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo. Danfree and Nizoral shampoos contain the active ingredient Ketoconazole 2%. Ketoconazole 2% prevents the growth of fungi as well as kills the pathogen itself. When used in conjunction with other medications, it’s applied to the scalp two to three times a week for right around a month. However, your dermatologist may recommend its use for the entirety of treatment, which is usually upwards of six weeks. Ringworm is highly contagious and treatment should recognize it as such. It can easily be passed from person to person as well as object to person. As you work to clear the fungal infection, wash towels, combs and brushes between each use. It’s also crucial to clean surfaces and avoid sharing sheets, blankets, hats and clothing with people suffering from the condition.

Alopecia treatment with Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo: Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo is the same as Nizoral shampoo and they both have not been approved by the FDA as a hair-loss treatment, but it has shown promise in several clinical studies, which separates it from many of the other treatments being offered. A study in the January 2007 issue of the Journal of Dermatological Science examined Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo effectiveness as a hair-loss treatment. The small-scale study showed that three of six people using 2 percent Ketoconazole Shampoo saw an increase in hair growth, with two of the three showing “remarkable hair regrowth.”  Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo effectiveness is due to its ability to prevent DHT from attaching to hair follicles. Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo is used once every three days and can be used by men or women.

Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo for Hair Growth:  Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo is used in the treatment of fungal infections of the scalp. It’s also used to treat dandruff. However, the American Hair Loss Association claims that it may also be used in the treatment of female-pattern baldness, also known as androgenetic alopecia. Besides working as an antifungal agent, the active ingredient of ketoconazole 2% also has anti-androgenic effects on the scalp. This can reduce the production of testosterone in women. As testosterone levels decrease, you also experience a decline in DHT. Without testosterone, 5-alpha-reductace can no longer produce DHT, which means the follicles remain healthy and continue to produce hair. Currently, Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo is available in two different formulas – 1 percent ketoconazole and 2 percent ketoconazole shampoos. While either concentration can benefit women suffering from female-pattern baldness, the American Hair Loss Association indicates that the 2 percent strength is far more effective.

HOW DOES DANFREE KETOCONAZOLE 2% DANDRUFF SHAMPOO WORK

Ketoconazole 2% is a main ingredient of Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Dandruff Shampoo and is used to treat a number of different types of fungal, yeast infections, inflammatory scalp conditions, dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis. All these conditions can be caused by overgrowth of the yeast Pityrosporum (Malassezia). Ketoconazole 100% kills fungi and yeasts by interfering with their cell membranes. It works by stopping the fungi from producing a substance called ergosterol, which is an essential component of fungal cell membranes. The disruption in production of ergosterol causes holes to appear in the fungal cell membrane. This cell membranes of fungi are vital for their survival. They keep unwanted substances from entering the cells and stop the contents of the cells from leaking out. As ketoconazole 2% concentrate causes holes to appear in the cell membranes, essential constituents of the fungal cells can leak out. This kills the fungi and clears up the infection. Like other shampoos, Danfree / Ketocip / Nizoral dandruff shampoos also contains ingredients which gently cleans your hair.

Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Dandruff Shampoo contains ketoconazole 2%, a synthetic broad-spectrum antifungal agent that specifically kills the fungus by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an important component of fungal cell membrane that is not found in animal cells. Ketoconazole in Danfree shampoo 2% weakens the fungal cell membrane, causing the cell contents to leak out which kills the fungus, preventing the fungus from spreading and relieving symptoms like itching and scaling caused by the infection. Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Dandruff Shampoo also contains zinc pyrithione a chemical with fungistatic properties that inhibits fungal growth; also antiseborrheic properties that prevents overproduction of sebum (produced by the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles). Ketoconazole 2% and zinc pyrithione in Danfree Ketoconazole 2% Dandruff Shampoo, work together to treat conditions of the scalp that are thought to be associated with fungal infection.
