Description
What is Astashyn® Wrinkle Treatment Cream?
Astaxanthin is a super antioxidant and has been awarded GRAS by US FDA. Astaxanthin belongs to the Xanthophyll group of the carotenoid family. It is derived naturally from red algae – Haematococcus Pluvialis. Astaxanthin is many times more potent than Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Alpha lipoic Acid, etc. It supports the enzymes which protect our skin. Lactobionic acid is a 3rd generation polyhydroxy bionic acid derived from Lactose, known for its moisturizing properties. The combination is an excellent anti-aging and skin-lightening composition.
Main active ingredients of Astashyn® Wrinkle Treatment Cream
Lactobionic Acid is a polyhydroxy acid, which is a gentle exfoliator. It provides textural and smoothing benefits to the skin. It also increases the skin’s thickness. Lactobionic Acid reduces visible signs of aging skin and is effective in reducing Advanced Glycation End-products (AGE). Advanced Glycation End-products accumulate in the skin naturally and lead to gradual cross-linking of collagen resulting in reduced skin elasticity.
Oligopeptide-5 is a precursor of Fibronectin. Fibronectin plays an important role in binding mucopolysaccharides, collagen, and elastic fibers to fibroblasts. Any reduction in Fibronectin results in the skin aging process.
Avena sativa Kernel Oil – Ceramides are waxy lipid molecules. Both Avena sativa oil and Oryza sativa Oil have rich lipid content. Avena sativa Oil is a natural lipid complex that contains polar lipids and skin equivalent phospholipids and ceramides. Oryza sativa oil contains Glycerolipids, sterol lipids, and sphingolipids.

Astaxanthin is a naturally occurring carotenoid pigment. Astaxanthin, derived from Haematococcus Pluvialis (microalgae), is a super antioxidant, many times more powerful than Vitamins A, C, E, Beta-carotene, etc. Astaxanthin inhibits ROS formation and modulates the expression of oxidative stress-responsive enzymes.
Vitamin E is a beneficial topical antioxidant.
