Deriva CMS is made by popular Glenmark Pharmaceuticals and containing micronized Adapalene 0.1% in Microspheres and Clindamycin 1.0% in Microspheres. Adapalene 0.1% is a third-generation topical retinoid primarily used in the treatment of mild-moderate acne, it works by stopping pimples from forming under the surface of the skin, and is also used (off-label) to treat keratosis pilaris as well as other skin conditions. Vitamin A derivative Adapalene works to correct the irregular skin cell shedding that’s irritating your skin and clogging your pores. Clindamycin Phosphate 1% component in Deriva CMS Gel works by preventing bad bacteria from producing proteins that are essential to them. Without these proteins the bad bacteria cannot grow, replicate and increase in numbers which will allow the immune system to treat the infection. Clindamycin 1% component is mainly prescribed to treat serious infections caused by bacteria such as acne, pimples and various bacterial skin infections.
